Articles Processing Charges
Effective for manuscripts accepted on or after August 1, 2026, the International Journal of Cell and Biomedical Science (CBS) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 75 per accepted manuscript.
The journal does not charge any submission fee. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication. No fee is charged for manuscripts that are rejected.
The APC is used solely to support the operational costs associated with scholarly publishing and to ensure the sustainability and quality of the journal. These costs include, but are not limited to:
- Editorial management and manuscript handling
- Administration of the peer-review process
- Professional copyediting and language editing
- Typesetting and journal layout preparation
- Author proof preparation and proofreading
- DOI registration and Crossref metadata services
- Online publication and website hosting
- Long-term digital archiving and journal maintenance
- Indexing metadata preparation and publication platform maintenance
Editorial decisions are made independently of the APC and are based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance of the submitted manuscript. Payment of the APC does not influence the editorial review process or the final publication decision.
APC Waiver and Discount Policy
The International Journal of Cell and Biomedical Science is committed to supporting equitable access to scholarly publishing. Authors who are unable to pay the APC due to financial constraints may submit a request for a full or partial waiver at the time of manuscript submission or immediately after acceptance.
Waiver requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as the availability of research funding, institutional support, and the corresponding author's country of residence. The granting or denial of a waiver has no influence on the editorial evaluation or publication decision. Any approved waiver or discount is determined independently of the peer-review process to ensure editorial impartiality and compliance with international publication ethics standards.
